Jólaviðburðir 2021 Replay

The Icelandic Canadian Club of Toronto gathered virtually on a lovely sunny Sunday afternoon December 19th to celebrate Christmas and share music and stories. Hosted by Katrine Handley-Derry one of our youth Directors, the event featured Icelandic artist and weaver Margrét Katrín Guttormsdóttir who provided a fascinating look into the art of weaving. We also were regaled by Christmas carols sung by Lindy and the Vopnfjörð family, the Jólasveinarnir story told with a unique Canadian twist by Grýla herself and a special appearance from jolly old St. Nick himself!
