ICCT Youth Grant Programs
The ICCT passionately supports young Icelandic Canadians who are interested in furthering their education, learning about Iceland and discovering their roots.
The ICCT fundraises for and annually offers three different kinds of scholarships/grants to youth.
- A Scholarship of $1,000 to a student in post secondary education. We encourage those with high academic standards, demonstrated leadership skills, community involvement and a sincere interest in their Icelandic heritage and/or promoting the Icelandic language and culture to apply.
- An Icelandic Language Camp Grant of $500 for a child between 8 and 17 years to attend the Icelandic Language and Heritage Camp in Gimli, Manitoba.
- Support to the Snorri Youth Exchange Program with Iceland. We offer a grant for Snorri Youth travel to Iceland and funds to the Snorri West committee organizing events and travel for Icelandic youth in the Toronto area.
